OPU Worldwide Blog: FLASH: OPU EUROPEAN COORDINATORS PLAN BIG FOR OPU WORLD CONGRESS !

Taking a glimpse at the just concluded Oodua Progressive Union European Coordinators 2nd Meeting in Amsterdam, Holland held on 28th and 29th August, 2015. The event under the chairmanship of the OPU Europe Coordinator Akogun Banji Ojo was attended by coordinator of each of the European countries as well as their officers and other stakeholders.

Among other progress made at the two-day meeting over OPU Housing Project for the benefits of Yoruba sons and daughters in diaspora, a significant plan is underway towards convention of all members at World Congress of Oodua Progressive Union coming up in Ile -Ife, Nigeria in January, 2016. Further details of the OPU World Congress and other developments are to be conveyed to all Oodua Progressive Union members spreading across over 65 countries through their countrywide Co-ordinators.

In a signed statement released by the media and publicity scribe of the organisation's European Coordinators OPU, Alhaji Ganiyu Wahab Oshidele expressed appreciation on behalf of OPU Europe to Otunba Dr. Gani Adams, the Convener of Oodua Progressive Union Worldwide, and the National Coordinator of OPC and the Yoruba leader for reviving and promoting Yoruba traditions and culture across the world.

The statement thanked Otunba Gani Adams for his unfettered dedication to the cause of promoting cultural values unity and economic progress of Yorubas both at home and in diaspora

During the meeting the Oodua Progressive Union European Coordinators and Stakeholders also express their sympathy to Mr. Mobloaji Adewale Victor, OPU European deputy Coordinator's for the passing of his father Sir, Micheal Oluwayemi Adewale.
